The Cover Project

The Cover Project is about healing- taking something ugly and negative, and turning it into something beautiful and positive. The idea of Cover is this: uncover your past, recover so you can move on, and discover who you are. Though much of the work is seen here, the website explains each person's individual story, the reasoning behind each tattoo, and how people can participate- as well as brings the entire project together- so it really needs to be seen for the project to be understood. If you want to learn more about the concept, see my website design, and everything else that went along with the project, please click the link below.
STORY CARDS
Below are story cards. The idea was for people to participate in the exhibit by coming up with their own tattoos and telling their stories. After the show, I scanned and uploaded them to the Facebook page, which feeds to the public gallery on the website. I also made it so that they could participate in the project later on by going to the website, creating a tattoo at home, and uploading a photo of it to the Cover Facebook page. The project is still open for online participation.
